Born in the suburbs of Chicago in 1971, Missi lived through a rather rough early childhood. It was through that experience that she developed survival skills and a sense of determination. She moved to Forsyth in 1983 with her father, adoptive mom, and little brother. She worked two jobs through high school while playing tennis, editing the high school newspaper, and keeping statistics for the basketball team.

In all ways, Missi knows the challenges of growing up in Southwest Missouri.

Missi worked in business and finance during the 1990's. She married in early 2001. Post-9/11 forced transition, and she returned to school to earn her Bachelors in Elementary Education from University of Missouri - St. Louis while expecting a second child. Eventually she brought her own family back to Forsyth and added a third child while teaching at her alma mater. Missi has been a single mom for over twelve years, attaining her Master's in Gifted Education from Drury in 2018 and her Specialist in Education in Special Education and Assessment in 2023 from Missouri State University. She has been an educator for almost twenty years where her students listened to HER to learn. Now Missi is listening to YOU to learn YOUR ideas for the MO-7. Missi hopes to take what she learns from you to D.C. to be your voice in representing SWMO for the betterment of all.

Missi understands the needs of education in Missouri schools, life, and politics. Learning requires listening and Missi is listening to you. Knowledge is power.

Missi returned to the city council in 2022 before a successful run for Mayor of Forsyth in April 2023. She has focused on issues that impact the community as a whole in order to make life better for the majority. That is the path she plans to take as Congressional Representative of the MO-7: Being your voice for what brings us together and brings peace and prosperity to each of us.

Missi is the U.S. Representative Mo-7 deserves.
